KublaCon Pins for 2012 -- the twelfth year in what's become a tradition of KublaCon annual pins. This year, Tim Heuskin returns AGAIN (will this guy ever quit?) as our pin-master, matching the style of his whimsical cover art, creating Kubla In Black... our KIB Kubla!
KIB yields the 'flashy thing'... helping you to forget all your troubles at home and immerse yourself in a universe of gaming! His little green alien friend was in the middle of telling you about all the fun you're gonna have... but then... FLASH!
Pre-order now and save money, as they'll be $10 on site! We only do a limited number of these pins. Pickup on site. Each year's pins show Kubla in six colors, with each color signifying a different type of bearer.
Yellow: Winners! Folks who win tournaments at KublaCon win one of these in addition to any other prizes in that tournament. If you don't win any tournaments, the only way you can get one of these is to beg or bribe.... etc. (see below).
Green: Volunteers-- if you volunteer as a Host or GM at KublaCon, you get one of these pins FREE!
Purple: KublaCon Staff -- this pin is printed in VERY limited quantities and is for producers, managers and other organizers of KublaCon. If you don't fall into one of the above categories,the only way you can get one of these is to give Japji, our producer, "One Meeeelion Dollars". Don't even try giving the money to one of the other Purple Pinners... they have all signed waivers assigning all sales rights to the pins back to Japji. (Ha ha ha ha haaaa!)
Red: Red is for our attendees! You can purchase them AT KublaCon for $10.00 plus tax. But be warned... we are printing these in VERY LIMITED quantities this year.
Blue: Dealer's and special guests get these Blue Meanies! Of course... since our dealer room folks are here to "bring home the bacon", you can probably buy one of theirs with an adequate offer.
Orange: Our superfans - our lifetime members - get these newly issued Orange pins to identify them as not only super gamers , but as solid supporters of KublaCon year after year. Thank you!
Pink: In honor of the support that Becky Thomas received from the Carol Ann Read Breast Health Center, all proceeds from sales/auction of the pink KIB will go to the Alta Bates Summit Foundation. Very limited quantities - $10ea on-site only.
